4th of July Parade and Booth

June 28th, 2011

Please join the Douglas County Republicans
at the Highlands Ranch 4th of July Celebration!

To celebrate Highlands Ranch's 30th Anniversary, the HRCA has arranged an F-16 Fly Over from Buckley Air Force Base near the start  time of the parade. Watch for them approaching from the west. The jets will be very quiet upon approach, so be watching the skies around 9:00 a.m. in order to watch them fly over the parade.

We will have a float in the parade and a booth in the “south” part of the Town Center Area of Highlands Ranch.

Below are details for both the booth and parade.  If you would like to help out, man the booth, or walk in the parade, please contact the listed chairs for each portion.  If you have any other questions, please contact Vice Chairman Sandi Gregston at thegregstons@hotmail.com.

We will be staging the “floats” for the parade along Highlands Ranch Parkway west of Hepburn. Highlands Ranch Parkway will be closed at 6:30 am that morning from Lucent to Broadway. Check-in for the floats will be on Highlands Ranch Parkway near the northeast corner of Highlands Ranch Parkway and Lucent. Look for the tent. Please enter Highlands Ranch Parkway via Lucent Blvd. Please refer to the attached map. Parking is available on the south side of the Target parking lot.

It could be a very warm day — please bring water and other fluids, sunscreen, protective eyewear, and snacks for everyone in your unit. A port-olet will be located in the southeast corner of the Kaiser Permanente parking lot at Hepburn and Highlands Ranch Parkway. Please plan accordingly for your needs!
