Please join Douglas County Republicans at the Douglas County Fair this weekend!
The fair is Friday, August 5th through Sunday, August 7th. The fair is being held, as always, at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock -- one mile east of I-25 at Castle Rock exit 181. (

In celebration of Douglas County's 150th Anniversary, the Board of County Commissioners -- Republicans Jill Repella, Jack Hilbert, and Steve Boand -- announced there will be
free general admission on Friday, August 5th. This includes two concerts, dog/horse and handler competitions, cricket races, FFA barn tours, Mutton Bustin', the 4-H/FFA Jr. Livestock Sale, and viewing of all Open Class Displays (doesn't include ticketed events, rodeo, or carnival rates).
In addition, if you'd like to volunteer to help out in the party's booth or walk with us in the parade, please see the information below.
Douglas County Republican Booth
The booth will be open Friday noon-8pm, Saturday 10am-8pm, and Sunday 8am-4pm. If you would like to volunteer to help at the booth, please contact
Keri Brehm who is in charge of organizing volunteers for the booth throughout the weekend. No experience necessary and you'll be at the booth with other Republicans.
We're especially looking for volunteers Saturday 6-8pm and to help with tear-down on Sunday at 4pm.
Parade
Look for us with the big elephant float on Saturday morning! If you're walking with us, please wear your elephant t-shirt or a red shirt--children and families welcome!

The parade staging will only be on Plum Creek Parkway (Westbound lanes) at the entry to the Fairgrounds. See map below.
Please arrive at 8-8:30am
We must be ready to go at 9:45am
The parade will begin promptly at 10am

Water
Sunscreen
Hat
Light-weight clothing
Good walking shoes
Parade Participant PARKING: For all entries that are parking vehicles during the parade please use the PARKING LOT located the Fairgrounds Regional Park. This is highligted on the horse staging/parking map below.
Parade Participant DROP-OFF/PICKUP: For all parade entries being dropped off, please use the Drop Off Location located at Plum Creek Parkway (Westbound) and Holmbt Ct. After the parade please use the pick-up location at Perry St. - Wells Fargo and Phillip S. Miller Library parking lots.
