Fellow Republicans,

Great news this historic evening!  Senate President John Morse from El Paso County and Senator Angela Giron from Pueblo County have both been successfully recalled!

We congratulate Senator-elect Bernie Herpin in El Paso County and Senator-elect George Rivera in Pueblo County, and we applaud the amazing recall efforts and the county party organizations in both counties.  And thanks to all the volunteers all around the state that contributed time and money to these efforts.

For the first time in the history of Colorado, not one but two state senators have been recalled as a result of having infringed on the 2nd Amendment rights of the citizens of Colorado.  Bloomberg and his east-coast money, along with local liberal Democrats, have lost big in Colorado tonight.  A clear message was sent.

And momentum is ours! 

Our next battle is just a month away: The Douglas County School Board election.  If you haven't already, please login to your account at DCGOP.org and click on the "Every Republican" link to claim about 30 households in your neighborhoods.  You'll then be able to follow-up with your Republican neighbors during this November's election and remind them to vote for our slate of candidates: Doug Benevento, Meghann Silverthorn, Judi Reynolds, and Dr. Jim Geddes.

Let's keep the momentum going into 2014 by winning here in Douglas County as we take back our state one election at a time.
