President Obama will be having a town hall meeting in Grand Junction this Saturday, August 15th at 4:15pm at Central High School.

The White House has announced that admission to the event will only be granted to those that have obtained a ticket in advance. Due to space limitations, tickets to the event will be issued via a lottery system.  Registration for this event will close on Thursday, August 13th at 12pm MST so you have a limited time to act.

To register for the ticket lottery you must fill out the information form at a link at WhiteHouse.gov.

Prior to the President’s visit, the Western Slope Conservative Alliance and Americans for Prosperity will host a "Hands Off My Health Care Rally and Protest" event. The event begins at 10am this Saturday and will take place at Lincoln Park on the corner of 12th & North Avenue in Grand Junction and everyone is welcome to attend. 

It is vitally important that Colorado Republicans make every effort to have a strong presence at these events. If you are able to attend, please remember to remain respectful and represent yourselves well. This Saturday, the eyes of the country will be on our state. Let's make the most of this opportunity and send a clear message to the President that we oppose his plan to nationalize our health care system.
