Citizens of Castle Rock should be advised that the Castle Rock Town Council will be considering repealing prohibitions on open carry and thus taking a positive step to reaffirm the 2nd Amendment within city limits.

Last month, the citizens of Castle Rock successfully persuaded the town council to not expand restrictions on the 2nd Amendment by emailing and calling their council members, and expressing their views at the council meeting.  Not only did town council not further restrict the 2nd Amendment, a motion was made to repeal the existing restrictions.

This matter will now be considered at the Castle Rock Town Council Meeting on January 21st at 6pm, at the Castle Rock Town Hall at 100 Wilcox St., Castle Rock, CO 80104.  The council will be voting on repealing the existing limitations placed on the 2nd Amendment regarding open carry in town-owned property.

Citizens of Castle Rock are encouraged to contact Castle Rock Town Council at towncouncildirect@crgov.com to express their support for the repeal of the existing restrictions that have been placed on the 2nd Amendment in Castle Rock.  Citizens are also encouraged to attend the meeting on January 21st to express their views at the meeting.

The citizens were very effective last month to help stop further infringement on the 2nd Amendment.  Let's be sure to give the Castle Rock Town Council the support they need to conclude this matter and restore the 2nd Amendment in the heart of Douglas County!
