Fellow Douglas County Republicans,

With Christmas behind us and the new year about to begin, it's time to prepare for the Douglas County Republican organizational meeting.

The meeting will be Tuesday, February 10th, at the Douglas County Events Center.  At the meeting, we will elect a chairman, vice-chairman, secretary, and treasurer.  We will also elect district captains and bonus members.  Details of the meeting--and how to run for party office or district captain--can be found at http://www.dcgop.org/OrganizationalMeeting.  If you are a voting member of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee--or intend to run for one of the positions that will be elected at the meeting--please be sure to set aside the evening of February 10th so you can participate.

Starting Monday, January 5th, candidates for party office may send members of the Central Committee campaign emails via the party website.  I would ask you to please be patient as candidates for party office contact you--they will be asking for your vote for a time-consuming, unpaid volunteer position.  Please hear them out so that you may cast an informed vote at the meeting.

If you are interested in being a candidate for chairman, vice-chairman, secretary or treasurer, please contact me and I'll make sure you have the ability to send out campaign emails starting January 5th and that your name appears pre-printed on the ballot.  If you want your name pre-printed on the ballot, be sure to let me know by January 20th at 11pm.
