County Commissioner District 3
Lora Thomas
Lora Thomas served for four years as the Douglas County Coroner, and during that term, she improved services and professionalism while shrinking the bloated budget by 33%, saving $1.4 million. Lora Thomas retired as a Major after 26 years of service with the Colorado State Patrol, and her senior level management experience from this position as well as the Finance degree and MBA that she earned from Regis have well prepared her to serve as one of three County Commissioners. Lora is committed to representing the citizens of Douglas County as she oversees the $350 million annual budget, preserves the county’s natural resources and makes decisions concerning growth that will not change the character of Douglas County.
