Official Call: Central Committee Meeting regarding District 1 Vacancy
	July 7th, 2009

     PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Douglas County Republican District 1 Vacancy Committee shall meet on the 29th day of July, 2009, at the Commissioners' Hearing Room, Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Castle Rock, Colorado.

     This meeting shall take place immediately after the combined meetings of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee Vacancy Committee/Douglas County Republican Central Committee, the Official Calls for which are transmitted herewith.

     Credentialling shall begin immediately after the conclusion of the aforementioned Vacancy and Central Committee meetings.

     Those eligible to vote at this meeting are the Douglas County Republican Precinct Committee People for Precincts 78, 79, 80, and 81.  Under the DCR Bylaws, voting by proxy is not allowed.

     This Vacancy Meeting will be held to fill the vacancy in the office of District Captain.  This vacancy is due to the resignation of the officer.

     Under the Bylaws of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee, subject to certain exceptions for elected DCR officers and Republican elected officials, persons eligible to run for the office of District Captain at the meeting must (1) be residents of District 1, and (2) be registered to vote as Republicans in Douglas County, pursuant to state statues.  The Bylaws do not require that such persons presently be voting members of the DCR.

     Persons who wish to run for District Captain and who are not voting members of the DCR will be required to present proof of residence and registration at the meeting.

     This Official Call is issued pursuant to section 5(G) of Article XIV of the Bylaws of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee.
